Hosting
Website, app server, database and file storage run on a server in Germany. When you visit, your IP address is processed for technical reasons to deliver the pages. We do not keep access logs. All connections are encrypted with TLS (HTTPS). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Account
For an account we process your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash) and chosen language. You confirm the email address with a link. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Push notifications in the app
If you allow notifications in the app, your device receives an identifier (token) from Firebase Cloud Messaging, a service of Google Ireland Limited. We store this identifier with your account. Data may be transferred to the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time in your device settings. We delete the identifier when you sign out.
Cookies and local storage
For signing in we set a technically necessary session cookie. In the app a session key is stored on the device instead. Your language choice is kept in local storage. We use no tracking or advertising cookies; fonts are served from our own server.
Error reports
When a technical error occurs, the API, web app and app send an error report to our own error log. It contains the error message, the place in the code, the page and the browser or app version. We do not send names, email addresses, cookies or form contents. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data as long as your account exists. You can delete your account yourself at any time in the settings; all content, files and push identifiers are deleted immediately.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), objection (Art. 21) and to withdraw consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
